It’s important to optimize your URLs as well by following a couple of suggestions.
In your URLs:
- Incorporate your target keyword
- Be as short as possible, always reviewing the automated URL suggestion of your CMS
- Avoid repeating terms

Look at this URL below. We optimized the related blog post for the keyword “passive income on Etsy” which is in the URL, in fact, the entire “slug” part of the URL is the target keyword only.

Another good one to look at is the URL below, for one of the interviews we did. If you click on it, you can see that in the title or H1 of the interview, we actually mention “creator interview” already.
Since that post is marked to be in the “Creator interviews” category that also shows in the URL (something you can’t edit in the URL itself), we wanted to avoid repetition and adjusted the slug part.
Now the URL includes “creator interview” only once and the slug is reserved for the name of the interviewee each time we publish a new one with a different person.
