Holiday marketing tip of the week 🎄
Gift cards are everywhere in big-brand marketing, but they’re still not that common in the creator world. That’s a missed opportunity—because people love giving thoughtful, handmade gifts, but sometimes can’t decide which one to choose for their loved ones.
Gift cards solve two problems for your audience:
- Last-minute shopping: People can buy your card instantly and still give something meaningful to someone, while giving your brand exposure.
- No pressure: The person buying the gift card won’t be under pressure to pick the perfect holiday gift.
Plus: Choice flexibility: The recipient gets to choose their favorite piece from your shop later.
And you gain a new customer who might not have discovered you otherwise.
How to create and promote gift cards for your store?
You can easily create digital gift cards through platforms like Etsy, Shopify, or even simple PDF or email versions.
- Offer a few price options for different budgets.
- Promote it like a product: Post about it on your socials, in your stories, and in your newsletter.
- The gift card can be used for buying a product or a service, too, like a workshop, depending on what you're offering.
And remember. It’s already December: highlight that a gift card is perfect for last-minute gifts.
