Holiday marketing tip of the week 🎄
When the holiday shopping rush hits, many office workers realise they're short on time. They practically pray for the gifts to come to them, and that is where creators, artists, and makers of handmade goods can come into the picture.
More specifically, since office employees are having trouble finding gifts, you can bring them to where they work. Besides, they also want fun employee perks and team-building opportunities, and any help is appreciated on that front, too.
So let me give you two ideas for joining in on the fun of an office Christmas, while making your brand better known and improving your sales.
How to create and manage an artsy office Christmas experience?
The two simplest ways to collaborate with companies on an office Christmas for creators are to set up your own Christmas market in their office with ready-to-buy products and to host a workshop for employees, guiding them in making something Christmas-themed.
1. Mini Christmas market
Reach out to companies in your area and offer to set up a one-day pop-up in their office—a mini Christmas market right in their lobby or break room.
Employees can browse, buy on the spot, and get their holiday shopping done without leaving work.
You can make it even more appealing by offering seasonal discount specials just for employees. It feels exclusive, boosts sales, and creates a fun experience in the workplace.
2. Christmas workshop
Host a workshop at the office. Employees might make their own Christmas wreaths, simple clay ornaments, holiday jewellery, or decorated cards. You provide supplies and instructions. It’s fun, memorable, and also gives you exposure.
+1 tip:
Don’t forget to leave business cards with your socials and webshop link. People might want to look you up later, recommend you to friends and family, and make a purchase too.
When you're reaching out to potential companies to have an office Christmas collaboration, recommend both of the above alternatives. You never know what different teams are looking for. Some office managers take everything into their own hands, while other companies have employees vote on extra activities like hosting a creative workshop on site.
One way or another, maybe even doing both, you might literally get your foot in the door and could turn the collaboration into an annual event—something you do with that company every year, creating a solid extra income channel for yourself for the holiday season.
